2WD to 4WD switch on a f-350 Dually

My last truck was a 1979 Ford F-150, 351M-400, standard trans, 3" lift, 36.5" tires, custom exhaust, ect..., ect... that I completly rebuilt from ground up. Everything, and I do mean everything was new on it.All I needed to do was finish the body work and paint it but the wife "suggested" that I get rid of it and get something with a back seat for the kids so off it went.
Well that was about 6 years ago and within the past few weeks I was recently shopping for a new toy and was looking for a F-250 or F-350 4X4,5 speed, with at least a 5.7 in it. My problem was I was limited to around the $5000.00 range, another "suggestion" by the wife, but didn't want anything too old. Upon my journey I came across a 1992 F-350 dually extended cab with a 460 under the hood. Now I always wanted a dually but never could afford them. This ran pretty good and was in over all great shape. I was able to get it for $4000.00. My only problem is this:
I wanted a 5 speed and it's an automatic and I wanted a 4X4 and it's a 2X4.So my question is this...How hard is it to switch over to a 5 speed or 4X4 or both??? There are plenty of junk yards around my area to get complete front ends, transfer cases and whatever else I need. This is a new toy which I plan on keeping for quite some time and I already started re-building so I would like to make it the way I want it. Not afraid of a little hard work and spending a few bucks on the project.
Thanks!!
Jay

I'm not 100% sure but for the 4x4 part it should pretty much be simply bolting up th parts and having to cut a hole in the flooor for the shifter, you'll need a complete front end axle assembly, new drive shaft and the transfer case, for the manual, I don't think that's possible since the tranny is probbley computer controlled, which means you'll atleast need the tranny and a computer configured for the engine, and tranny combo
