My glow plug led stays lit for almost 3 minutes when its col, below 25 or 30. I think the timing is of gp's are controlled by an ambient temp switch,( someone correct me if I got that wrong) , so the colder the outdoor temp the longer the gp's are energized.
if my plugs were all bad, would i have a real hard time starting?

Your plugs could have failed one by one slowly now you might only have one -three left
also i havent tried plugging in yet...it has been unseasonably warm the last couple days. im going to try tonight.

in a heated shop would not start unless it was plugged in
started like a champ when the relay was replaced but since yours is new that should not be the problem, check it with an amp meter make sure you are drawing 150-200amps when the relay is on.

You are correct. At 0*F 8:00 this morning where I am. 5 min. my led stayed on.
