delete cat or cat/muffler

Hey Guys,

Just one quick question... Is there anything wrong with deleting the cat? or just running a straight pipe? I have a 06 f250 6.0 with 98k on it... I know all the legal crap but will it hurt or have any negitive affects on my truck? I have heard some people say that it is good for the truck... Please let me know what you think!

Thanks!
Jason

It'll just make it a little louder. Won't hurt anything, except maybe your ears

I didnt notice ANY difference when I took mine off, other than you can hear the turbo better! I put a mbrp complete 4" kit on at same time though. (3.5" downpipe)

I was thinking about that as well... But I have heard that you can lose some of your bottom end by upping the pipe size... and that it was harder on the turbo... idk tho... im a

I have had my cat and muff off for over two years. I love the sound and it keeps the egts down. I have not felt any power loss. I think for our trucks it's the best idea.

I have a full 4" system. No loss in power at all. Seems to spool up faster to me. Sounds great too.

My friend bought an 06 6.0 with stacks, We had to drive it 200miles home. The first thing he did when it got into his drive was sawzall the stacks and rig one of them out the side till he could get his banks on! It was a Crew Cab ECHO CHAMBER! I hear your pain..... No I mean I still hear it.....literally.
