Power Steering Fluid 03 4.6

I am going to change the power steering fluid in my truck. I am unsure of what type to use in it but I would like to go with a synthetic oil. Would Royal Purple work? Store Locator | NAPA Online

Use Mercon V transmission fluid. It matters little whether you use a synthetic or not, a synthetic does offer better protection, and Royal Purple is a great product. Do not use generic power steering fluid, or even one that say it is for Fords, get Mercon V instead.

Cool, thank you.

I guess seafoam makes a tranny cleaner that I can use in the power steering unit.
