Smile Newbie intro

Hi,
Just thought I would introduce myself, since I hope to tap into your knowledge.
My name is Rick H
I just bought a 1951 F1 for my wife
It has new wiring, front discs, dual master cyl
chevy 350 with automatic, floor shifter, new dual exhaust
frame all cleaned and painted

Goal is to have an original looking truck on the outside with a comfortable interior (a/c, stereo, GPS), dependable drive train, and easy to drive.

Glad to have you on board. I might have to buy a truck for my wife..I hadn't thought of that excuse

We love pictures, be sure and post some soon. There is a sticky thread on how to post them if you need help.

Wife's Truck

I figure if I do all the work and maintenance on the truck I can borrow it occasionally.

It's also a fairly solid truck but I want to give it a near perfect body, so I'll be changing the bed, fenders, running boards. Which got me thinking what to do with all these extra parts. A new frame, rebuilt flathead, and a cab and my son can have a great rat rod.

If you want a dependable drivetrain, put the 350 in the ratrod and the rebuilt flathead in your wife's truck.... ; )

Sounds like you've got your plans all set. I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience.
