Red Top Optimas

Had the optimas in since 2005. Still going strong.

Cost: on line you can get them for about $300 to $400 shipped with a 3 year replacement warrranty. Just Google "Optima batteries".

You can get Wal-Mart's premium battery for around $170 to $200 for the pair with a 3 year replacement warranty.

I chose Optimas because of reliability and there is no corrosive residue given off to corrode battery trays. But that is just me!

SpringerPop did some battery research and figured out the Costco batteries were actually one of the better name brands. They're cheap and good.

I bought 2 new Battery from Sam's/Walmart and they do well.

Biggest thing i've seen from my Ex buddies is the Alternator going out around 100k miles or so usually. I had to replace mine @ 130k on my 2001 and though my batteries still worked I went ahead and replaced to start all brand new on that end.
