rear brake cables?
Has anyone tried to use or used the original rear brake cables from the 48-50 f1 on the 71-72 9 in. rear axle? What problems etc. can I expect?

I don't see why not. I'm using the original 49 cables on a 75 Chevy 10 bolt! Nice job on the rear end!

My experience has been that the original cables will fit into place in the 9" just like it did in the original rear and work fine.

Thanks Vern and Wayne: that's kinda' what I thought. Feels good to hear it from someone else though. I've been staring at the back of the truck for a while now and it's about time to 'Just Do It'.
