Thanks, I'm sure I will! We saw a pickup with that color & liked it, switched from my usual red. I drove a 5.0 today, they're nice for sure but I'm looking forward to the Ecoboost. I think the 6 speed is going to be so much better.
Huh, I went to the Ford website to build and price and they don't have the Ecoboost option loaded yet....sounds like some of dealers are gettin the info to order though.
You will love it, the EcoBoost is a super strong motor. I had the chance to drive a few of them about 3 weeks ago. Both 4x4 crew cabs but one had a 4,000lbs. trailer and the other was empty......talk about a hoss of an engine. Great running motor.
Hey new here but it sounds like you've ordered the same combo that I am getting ready to order with my Ford man next week. Did they say how much the EcoBoost option is running above the 5.0L? Are they for sure you'll get it by late Febuary? Are we crazy for ordering the first year of the Ecoboost?
Here's what I'm ordering: (I might be a little nuts. Its gonna cost!)
King Ranch 4X4 SuperCrew inTuxedo Black
3.73 rear w tow package to get the Off Road pkg
20in rims
chrome running boards
moonroof
navigation
tailgate "man step"
trailer tow mirrors w chrome caps
chrome bug shield
Future: Roush Off Road exhuast with dual stainless tips to finish the truck off
I've NEVER ordered or bought anything brand new. All my trucks have been 2+ yrs old when I bought them. I'm pretty excited! Hope I don't regret it! I've always wanted a KR and it was either order this truck now with the Ecoboost or I hate to admit it.....I was looking at the Dodge Laramie Longhorn in black/gold!
Pretty similiar except I ordered the XLT 4x4, 6.5 bed, Ecoboost is $750.
I saw that on Edmunds.com, is this confirmed?
Seems like a really small upcharge for such a complex engine. My diesel F350 has many of the features the EcoBoost engine does, such as direct injection and turbocharging. Mine was a $7,895 option!
That's what it was, 5.0 is standard on the XLT, Eco is $750 more. Order printed out & they submitted it last night.
Now that is AWESOME.
I was expecting a $2-4K price premium over the base 5.0L engine. I think THIS is going to make the F150 blow away the competition.
Class-leading fuel economy, towing, and torque. Affordably! In stark contrast to GM who likes to shove their best technology only in the highest-end products.
You can get an EcoBoost engine in an XL work truck...
