Which oils/lubes for a high mileage V10?
I need to do some basic maintenance on my 'new' truck.
2000 F250 V10 Automatic 184k
Which motor oil?
Differential fluid?
Trans fluid?
Also, I read somewhere that I'm not supposed to change the transmission filter when I pull the pan? Is that correct? Or did I misread?

+1 however the front diff is going to take 75W-90.
As far as the tranny filter being replaced that might depend on what you find. Mark K on here can speak to replacing the filter with that kind of mileage. More than likely the answer will be no need to.
