wheel dilema
About 2 months ago I bought a set of F150 FX4 stock rims off an 05 F150 which are 18".
Discount Tire is concerned on the backspacing difference of I think 4mm. Also looks like in order to keep the relatively stock size tire of 31.6" in the 18, I would have to to go a 265/65/18 and of course the types of tires goes down with that size.

Has anyone done this conversion of wheels or can offer any advise if I should still stick with the F150 rims and go with the 265/65/18 tires?
Any info you guys can give me would be a big help!
For tires, you could go with a 275/65R18. It's only 32.0 or 32.1, depending on tire make. I run a 285/70R17 on my 03, which is 32.8, so you'd have no issues with 275/65R18. Before I get my next set of tires, I was actually hoping to find a cheap set of factory 18's cause I think a 275/70R18 will fit, which is 33.2.
I am going to pull the Expy into the garage today and see how the FX4 rim looks on the front end and do some steering test.
In tire comparisons (I want to keep the same height as stock so I can keep my current spare) if I was to keep the 18" FX4 rims I could go with a 265/65/18 and according to the conversion sites, it will be the same size.
If all looks good I am going to hit Discount Tire again today and see what tires may work with that size. Problem is with this size, the choices goes down. I have one other place in the area that sells cheaper tires but warranties them well.
