Recently purchased a set of marker lights for the roof of the cab on my 79 f-150 from lmc truck. Does anyone have any information on the placement? I know 2 sit far out on the side and 3 are close in the middle. Need any advice on the spacing. Thanks
I put a set of those on a friends truck years ago, there are no templates therefore the spacing is personal prefrence I used wide masking tape across the width of the roof to mock the position of those things. first find the center and measure off of that both directions, I just spaced em out evenly if there is a standard for the placement on fords I don't know it however im sure someone on here would be glad to go out and measure theirs for ya
The cab lights are evenly spaced out.
There was a thread on how and where to mount them but I cant find it. They go straight across the roof, NOT following the arch of the windshield. IIRC it is 17" from the back of the roof
I installed them on another truck of mine and followed the curve of the windshield spaced evenly apart. I thought it looked nice that way, but it may not be genre correct for our trucks.
I cheated when i did Josh's on his 79. I put a lund visor on and it has cutouts for the FACTORY PLACED cab lights. I just left a 1/4" gap between the visor and the lights
I installed them on another truck of mine and followed the curve of the windshield spaced evenly apart. I thought it looked nice that way, but it may not be genre correct for our trucks.
I use to have cab lights on my 79 F150 that way. Looked very nice following the curve of the windshield in my opinion.
