It was great fun although we had less than an inch of snow. The real excitement happened on the way home... It was REAL windy out today and a widowmaker fell and took out the power line....right on top of my truck! Needless to say, my 7yo daughter and I spent even more quality time together waiting for the power company to arrive....This stuff only happens to me!
So here we sit, my wife calls and says, "Bad news, the powers out."
When I was a kid we used anything handy for a sled. (Trying to keep our butts dry.) An old piece of linoleum or a trash can lid.... When a tree or a cliff looms in front of you, just roll off early and hope you can recover your vehicle! Steering? IDK.
That thing must haul ***! ...I assume you have a bit of padding on it too?
No padding...not yet anyway... We had trace amounts of snow, but it went pretty good. I'll put my video up on YT in a little while...Making CC cookies with the girls. Lifes priorities!
That is WAY COOL! jetdoc! I have an eye out for some old skies now!
I use to make a "Ghetto" sled.
What I did was get a roll of plastic (the thickest mil I could find and roll it down the hill. Then throw some snow on it for lubrication and run, jump and body slide on down. Worked fairly well, but I like jetsdoc's idea better!
