Had the need for four wheel drive this morning and shifted into 4 wheel high and got all these questions to mark OK, dang when I need 4X4 I really don't have time to be hitting OK two or three times. Is there a way around this???? Ford are you listening????
Turn ****, dash info center flashes "shifting..." and I just keep driving...I have been switching back and forth between 2wd and 4wd a lot lately, no issues...

I guess the question is what were the messages? You should only get the "shifting" message and you don't have to OK it for it to happen. I did get a "pull forward to engage" once but again you don't have to hit OK just do what it says. Whenever I get a message you have the option of hitting OK to clear it immediately or just wait a few seconds and it goes away on its own.
On the basic screen when I engage 4x4H stopped, it usually says "drive forward" or something like that but I don't have to answer anything other than to do what it says.
CFord well said, just wait a few seconds and it goes away on its own.
On the way home this afternoon I also found out that you do not have to acknowledge the OK,, just let it do its shifting... Should have had an extra shot of Black Jack before I ventured out this morning!!!!
Thanks for all the reply's,,, I'm learning!!!!!
My only comment, can you imagine owning a 6.7 and being illiterate and unable to read? Wow, what a dull life. One bland screen display and no talking to the roof. Love that cell phone hook up.

Wow, I know. There have already been several posts here written by folks that can barely put together a sentence, and asking for caps and periods is, like, over the top. I can see somebody on the side of the road wondering why the truck won't go above idle screaming at Ford, wondering what the heck DEF is..

Don't those folks also think you can make your own DEF by downing a few six packs?
good one... but times they are a changing...the success of the DEF systems, at both Ford and GM have silenced many of the basher/detractor types. One of the biggest bashers over at Rvnet has actually begun to promote the DEF system.
And I will bet my bottom dollar that CATERPILLAR is watching very carefully.
What surprises me is how quiet PACCAR is with their new engine plant. I really thought they were gearing up to get into our SUPER DUTY type market.
And then, speaking of engines, how about Navistar (International). Their stock took a big dive last week as they reported their engine sales are way down. I JUST WONDER WHY!!!! I have never heard a number, but I would like to know how many 6.4 engines International made for Ford.
