Sounds like the blend door motor has failed so the air stream is not seeing the evaporator, only the heater core.

Assuming the AC has actually been checked out thoroughly.

Airflow in the plenum always goes through the evaporator. It's the heater core that the blend door has to control airflow through or to bypass.

No, we're telling you that you either need to do more testing to pin down the problem or look in your local Yellow Pages for a suitable service shop.

I am searching the forums looking for help with an A/C issue. I am not ignorant, and i know alot of others on here are very experienced mechanics like myself. We are all here to share ourexperience and help the community, but this person that comstantly refers to FAQs and such needs to get a life. If you have no advice then stop posting. I am doing and online search for my issues, as i am tired of reading his.

Okay, a quick question: "WTF does this thread have to do with the FAQs?" No one said anything about FAQs in this old, dead thread except you today.

However, since you raised the subject:

I wrote the FAQs in this section because I got tired of answering the same "Frequently Asked Questions". I guess I could have just ignored those questions from then on and moved onto something else, but, no, I took my own time and wrote the FAQs as a voluntary effort.

Now, if a question arises that is covered in the FAQs (to the best of my memory), I simply point the questioner to the existing answer already provided to get them started. If they then need expanded assistance, it is provided.

If you can't deal with that, then perhaps its time for you to move. You've been here 6 1/2 years and have posted 12 times previously. Just how much help is it that you have provided?

Just FYI on others whom may read this old thread, 1990 does not have a blend door actuator and temp is cable controlled.
