I have a 1950 F1 short box 6cyl F1 and wondered what the weight should be. Anyone care to share the size and weight of their truck?

My 49 f1 comes in at 3306 lbs. Best of the season to you.

I've had mine weighed at a brand new scale at the dump; it was 3050. I have fibreglas fenders all the way around, but I don't think they are really a weight savings, they are heavy material. I have some pieces on the engine that probably knock off 30-50 lbs or so.

Edit: I added up the estimated savings on my truck (incl. I had no spare) and they came up to over a hundred pounds, so the chart below looks accurate for stock.

Here's the factory diagram with dimensions and weight details. This is a '52 but it should be same for a '50. Stu

You did notice, I hope, the footnote that is unfortunately hidden by the blacked out area on the bottom of the chart. It explains that the chart data is for the six cylinder engine. The V8 adds 85 lbs to the curb weight and reduces the load capacity my similar amount. Stu

My '50 F1, after installing a 289 and C4 trans scaled at exactly 3000 pounds. I still have the weight slip from 1979.

Great! Just what I was hopping for!

Thanks guys!

That little sheet with the dimensions and weights is exactly what I was looking for! I am thinking about having a poster made something like that for the shop. I may take a side view photo and add the dimensions to it. all I need is time to do it!

I've got them both for the '54 model year, if that'd be helpful, but not '56. Do I remember right, though, that the '56s are in Earl's Garage? Stu
