I dunno bro, you know I'm not much of a college football fan, but to me, it was far from a great game. Enjoyable and entertaining, yes, but not great.
There was a lot of sloppy play on both sides, and some really dubious play calling by both sides, but moreso by the Oregon coaches. So obviously bad that my wife, who can't stand football and doesn't know much about it, kept getting mad because Oregon kept calling the same plays that Auburn kept stuffing or throwing them for a loss.
Stewart, if you watch Oregon football as much as I do (which is a lot), you would know that is pretty typical of Oregon's offense. They will run the same play at you 2, 3, even 4 times in a row hoping to create mistakes on the defensive side of the ball. It just didn't work tonight. Like I said, Oregon beat themselves as much as Auburn beat them
Damned straight, well at least go SEC. I have to say the Ducks are and were one impressive team. I watched the game at a die hard AU fan's house that I work with. Wow, glad they won or he would have been destroyed. At times I almost hoped the Ducks were going to win and then I decided these were two good teams and let the best win. I thought it was a great game but do questions some of the Oregon play calling as well.
In the end the SEC does it again. Let's see what UT can put together next year because that young team had the Ducks on the ropes in the first half of the game they played early last year, then fizzled.
Great game indeed. Honestly, there are those Oregon fans who will cry foul. An Auburn player blatantly kicking an Oregon player in the face while he's on the ground did not turn the tide of the game in any way.
Oregon got outplayed. Both by Auburn and by themselves...
Congrats guys. You earned it.
i didnt see him kick him in the face...he knee'd him in the butt from what i saw? not saying it wasn't wrong.
It's a dam shame but will probably end up like the USC deal, in a couple years there'll be no 1 & the heisman will be back in NYC. One thing though if I was Fairley I'd hunt up Cams daddy & get half of the $$, he was the MAN

Not crying Foul lol, All Oregon had to do was score one time when they were in the redzone but they didnt. at least kick the Field goal rather then go for it on 4th and 1.
What do they say the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting a different result... dont know why it took them till 4 mins left in the game to figure out that they were not gonna run James through the line or why they didnt see the blitz comming but they didnt.

Honestly no one outplayed anyone, Oregon put up over 400 yards they just didnt score. Hell the game came down to a field goal. I will say this it was tough win but congrats to Auburn. I can say with certainty, next year Oregon will still be a Power team. Auburns fate not as certain.
And Maybe Chip Kelly will take those Field goals when he has the chance.

It is a shame that the actions of 1 person can scrub their efforts from the books. They wont care though because they still won the day and everyone saw it, as with USC today they dont have a huge decommidation ceremony they just tell the news, mostly ESPN.
Hey, all in all, it was a good game.
I think the Ducks were "wolves in ducks clothing".
They did stop Cam and put some good shots on him - he appeared to be feeling it late in the second half.
