Buy a new ribbed pulley from the parts store. The bearing came apart on your old on and it went bye bye! You will need a T45 (I think that is the size) Torx bit too. Be very carefull to keep the bit square or it will not grip well and strip the bolt head.

Pretty sure it's your tensioner pulley. I think I just got a bearing from the dealer $26.00. But I'm sure that I paid way to much for that. One of the first things to wrong on my truck.

Isn't the tensioner pulley suppose to be smooth because the out side of the belt rides on it?

Pretty sure the pulley that goes in that spot is ribber. Can't tell from the other picture.

I still think it's the tensioner pulley. Maybe what i think a ribber is a grooved pulley. Sorry Tim. Do you mean a ribber has a ridge along each outside edge?

Hey Tim my tensioner pulley is as smooth as can be, but down lower is a ribbed pulley. I didn't see this pulley in gomfrddy's picture. Maybe a different year. mines a 97. Not sure what that pulley runs yet. I will look tomorrow. By the way is tensioner even a word.

Tensioner is certainly a word! If you look at his first picture you can see the tensioner in place. Its the pulley below the tensioner that is missing.

BTW you could also just replace the bearing in the pulley. I didn't look at the second pic until a while ago so I didn't know you still had in ti available. I would buy a replacement pulley and put it on the truck then buy a new bearing and put the pulley behind the seat for a on the road spare. I keep both a smooth and a ribbed pulley in safe keeping for just this reason. Our engines are loud enough that you will rarely catch a bad bearing until it come apart. Been there done that a long way from home.
