Bought my truck from Fl and it did not come with a blaock heater cord or element installed in the block.
I have since purchased both parts and plan to install myself.
HOWEVER, I have no idea where this goes into the block. I have spent a good deal of time on the phone with Ford techs and none of their diagrams are showing it clear enough.
Can anyone take a picture of their heater and where it is installed. All when i remove the plug to install the heater do i need to drain any fluids prior to this?
Welcome aboard...1st thing to do is take the block heater back and get your money. All you need is the cord.
Did you verify that you don't have the cord first? Check on the passenger side. Right inside the bumper by the yellow latch for the hood. It would be a standard 110 plug there if you have it.
It rounds along the frame to just above the starter where it connects into the block.
Yea...it was my understanding that all 6.4s came with the heater, but warm areas did not come with a cord. I bought mine on ebay for $20, including shipping. Ford wanted $90 when I checked with them.

I thought this as well but....my truck was originally sold in southern TX and it had both already installed when I went there to pick it up. Point to the OP being, check before you spend the money. Luckily my service guy checked for me when I mentioned ordering one and saved me the hassle ordering something I didn't need.
alright just came in from looking it over. The element was right where you said it was SENIX. however the cord was a b***h to get in and i could only get the retaining nut hand tight as i couldnt even put any kind of tool up there to tighten it... hopefully it works!
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!
Keep in mind how long of cord you use. (50' cord 14 gage or better) (over 50' cord 12 gage)
8.5 amps at 120 volts
9.27 amps at 110 volts
10.2 amps at 100 volts
The longer cord the more voltage drop
If you can get all 20 amp devices, Do not use light timers, With heat loads always go higher amp due to over heating,
