front axle u joints

I need to replace my right hand front inner axle u joint, on a 93 turbo. I did some searching for it but I am not to sure if I have to open up the diff housing to get it out to replace it or will it just slide out ? any help would be appreciated.

i know when i did mine i had to pull the spindels off and pull the axle to get ti it

did you have to pull the yoke out of the center to replace the in joint?

To get the inner joint out you have to remove the C clip inside the diff.
Some guys report that they can change out the inner joint in place using a ball joint press.
