HELP ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS

I have a 02 supercrew f150 V8 5.4L 4x2 and the car wont shift out of park also the windows, windshield wipers, and inner lights dont work. I am able to get the car out of park by removing the safety thing for the brake. I looked through the fuses but really don't know what I am looking at. I took it to a shop but they wanted 60 dollars just to look at it and I have a feeling its a simple fix so I dont want to do that if any one has any ideas let me know thanks.

First look at your post.
Your fighting with yourself over this.
The clues are all there.
Can't shift out of park, other feature don't work!
It's an issue common to all those failures.
You have to learn what to do or get help.
First thing is to find the fuse that powers the brake solenoid and the rest of the failed features.
The GEM module is involved in all this as a hint.
You have to translate this into finding the fuse and seeing if it has a problem.
The owners manuel has all the info on fuse assignments.
For instance my manuel for my truck shows fuse 6 under dash as powereing the brake interlock and functions of the GEM.
Good luck.

Thankyou for the reply. I took a look at the fuse you were talking about and tested it but it is good. I am a college student and really dont have any experience with cars but figure its worth a try to figure this out on my own rather then pay the little money I have to a tech to tell me whats wrong. If you have any other suggestions please let me know thanks.
