Truck in my Sig - 2000 SD
My headlamp switch (inside) light has gone out - how do you get to the bulb to replace it?
Hopefully I don't have to buy a new switch. Second thing - old age creeping up on me - I don't remember, aren't the 3 symbols in the background (off, park & lights) supposed to be illuminated too? Just like the 1st question - how to get at the bulbs.
Not a huge deal but fumbling to find the sw is getting old- its an "old guy" thing.
You will have to disassemble the switch assembly to access the bulbs and I don't know whether they will be soldered in or not. I know my headlight switch went out when I had one of my A/C controller light bulbs go out. When I replaced the bulb in the A/C controller, the headlight switch started illuminating again. It was weird.
Ok so my memory's better than I thought. When I take the sw out I see if I can find the bulb for the background - its been out a while. I was getting along fine w/o it till the switch bulb quit. Hey truck's 10yrs old - these are the 1st dash lights to go. Now I've done it! I'll bet others will start going out!
