fuel pump replacement

Hey all....am replacing my fuel pump.....my question is this.....should I replace the brass washers that go on the banjo bolt? None came with the new pump and CRAPA had no idea what I was talking about....if I do need to get new ones, where can I get them.....

Ford dealer... Depends on the condition of them? I have reused them before and also have had to buy new ones...

If I did it again I would probably just use them again. Some say heat them up first. In any case got mine from the International dealer. Can't remember the cost but was only a few bucks or I would have had sticker shock embedded in my simple mind.

I withdraw my previous answer. If I had to do it again I would go with the electric fuel system. The problem is, just like an old TV, the damn thing keeps working and can't talk the wife into new technology. I'm probably the only person in town that has an old style bulky television.

^ This made me smile.

I replaced mine, even though they looked to be in really good shape. I'm uneducated about the electric fuel upgrades, but I was in a pinch when it happened, so I just coughed up the 140 from the stealership for a stocker

that reminded me of a prank we played on a buddy of mine. i bought at wal-mart a remote control powerbox used for lamps or whatever. it plugs into the wall then you plug the "lamp" or whatever into it and it has a wireless remote about the size of your keyless entry fob. anyway... we hooked it to the tv in his bedroom and 2or 3 times a week just turn it off and listen to him holler. we did this for about 2mos until he almost went and bought a new set. BTW.. the range is pretty far so you dont even have to be in the room looking like a suspect. this will get you that new tv

Actually my last TV did that exact same thing all by its self, really, unless we were neighbors ..
