on my 87' bII, i've noticed that when clutching out in first gear, it has a tendency to want to stall before engaging into gear. I heard/read this was a factory setting..anyone have this problem?
Can i fix it without having to spend 300$ on a high performance chip?
I think that I know what you are describing, mine is easier than most to stall out of first gear for some reason. You just have to give it a little gas before you slip the clutch and it is fine. I don't even notice it anymore it has become automatic for me to do that. I don't know that I would try to "fix" it, but if you do find anything else out let me know.
There are differences between a hydraulic and a mechanical clutch. A BII clutch certainly does not feel like a F-100 or Mustang. It does not mean its bad, just different.
Thanx...since i wrote that post i have gotten used to it...it's just a slight drop in power right before the clucth engages..hopefully i wont burn my clucth out soon!! LOL!!
