I need help with a seatbelt issue...the passenger side front and rear seatbelts keep locking on my 2003 Ex. It is very frustrating to my wife and daughter who ride on that side of the vehicle. Every time the try to reach forward (even slowly) the seatbelts lock. Is there a way to adjust them to not lock on ordinary movement? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
I posted a question like this over in the Super Duty section, and probably 4-5 other people replied to this question saying that they lock up and no one knew what to do about it
have had mine replaced by ferd twice and after a while they lock again....
poor design.... but replacement is the only thing that will help...
would think the feds would make them recall it since the only option to release them so you can breath is to unhook them.... and that MAY be a safety hazard - more so than the ficticious
"toyota unintended acceleration"
Just replaced all 2nd and 3rd row seatbelts in my 2000. Go to salvage yard and get replacements. I got all 4 complete for $180. Most salvage yards have some warranty too.
