I am the co-owner of the largest of the Crown Victoria sites. We have a lot of meets in MA and NH, and we are starting to participate in some in CT. I'll say one thing, we have a great time together. We have a large local following. I think our largest meet was something like 35 cars.
Typically, we get together in a parking lot, talk, look at each other's cars and mods, find a restaurant, and go for a cruise. We have made a lot of very good friends over the last couple of years. Half the time, I bring a truck.....
I would probably participate in a truck meet, as long as it wasn't the same day as a CVN meet!!

hey im a little late coming into this convo........but send me some plans and stuff too. i am from CT (guilford) and i have a group of younger ford followers with trucks/broncos in the rough who arent computer users, so they arent here at FTE, but they would love to come and participate. i liked the mohegan sun idea...kinda a haul, but ive gone farther for a show before.

For more info., check the RI forum.
But it boils down to this - chas1234 and I have been talking about where to meet, and we talked about meeting at my house. I wouldn't mind it at all. I'm in the greater hartford area, (CT) and would love to get the chance to meet you guys. PM me if you need more info.

not to bash anyones home, but i REALLY enjoy going to shows where there are those stupid fart cars and such where the ford truckers can roll in and be the "king of the hill". plus there are more people who can come and look and enjoy our projects. even participating in a little burnout competition or something like that after the show is always fun. also fairs that have truck pulls are the BEST places to meet up i think. just throwing out some ideas.

Steve91 I am interested in your proposial ..All of these ideas are great thus far ...again I feel that for this to work out we need to deside as a group ( dont want anyone feeling left out ..) hopefully we can get somthing rolling when the warner wether comes
Burly1 i like your king of the hill idea! I also agree that the "Sun " is a hall from Guilford ..doesnt Madison has car shows at the town green? I though they had some shows at the Hammonasset state park too? Those are shots in the dark but may be worth while !

Just to give you an idea of how some of our meets go, take a look at:
http://www.crownvicsetc.com/VicMeet.html
Jonelle's site documents probably half of the local Crown Victoria meets, and we also get together in smaller groups. There is also a small Massachusetts contingent that travels as far as Virginia for meets in other areas. Yes, we have burnout competitions!
One of our Fall meets (NJ) was mentioned (with a photo) in the March, '03, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine.
Last year, we had a joint meet with Celica.net and Maxima.org. Interesting crowd at that one!!
In April, we have a joint meet with a Ranger forum in CT (I can get more details for that one).
In June, we will have our 2nd annual pilgrimage to St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, to the Crown Victoria factory for a plant tour. Last year, I believe the count was in the mid-30s.
Don't hesitate to set something up.... Maybe we can do a combined meet this spring.
