Turn signals and heater blower motors
Folks,
1. The heater blower motor on my 89 F250 big 6 works when it wants. Any ideas as to where to start?
2. Same thing goes for my directionals. I replaced the whole switch. The plastic cam was broke on the one that came with the truck. On occassion the signals work when the ignition is in the ON position, but then WON'T work when the engine is running. (which is when I make most of my turns ;-)Then sometimes it DOES work when I am driving. I replaced the turn signal relay. And I used a probe light to check all the wires in the harness. Everything seems to be OK. Again, any ideas where I start to track down the gremlin? Thanks
Terry

Terry, I would check your key switch and see if it is returning back to the run position after starting the engine. I have seen a similar problem on two of my trucks. Sometimes the key switch will turn hard thus not allowing it to bounce back all the way fully to the run position. If it doesn't fall back in it's proper position the accessary circuit will not function in turn not supplying power to the fan motor and turn signals. Maybe a little wD-40 will free it if that's the problem. You may have to help the key switch return fully by hand until you have a chance to lube it. Good luck. Jake.
