My 09 F150 has the sony entertainment and navigation package with bluetooth. Has anyone had poor connections with any phones? Verizon has sent me 3 phones and they all have a lot of static when I connect to my truck blue tooth. If I reset the phone it sounds great for a few days then sounds like static again. Verizon tells me that the phone may not be compatable with the ford system. Anyone know how to fix this problem? Without trying 100 different phones.
I am using verizon, ( casio brigade ). I like the phone, I would think that all phones should work. I couldn't find a sync compatable list. I was told by Verizon that here are after market hookups to add to vehicles that dont match up. Going to the dealer tuesday to see what they say.
My problem was my Phone.
i had a brand new Phone, but the Blue Tooth in the Phone was messed up.
i tried my Wifes cell phone, and it workied perfect.
point, try another phone, before you blame the Ford Vehicle Blue tooth.

I have the Iphone 4 and while the bt phone works great, I have problems with the audio cutting out thru bt. I can reconnect the phone, but all that happens is that sync will play a song on my phone not thru the nav head unit. So far the only way to fix that is to hook up the usb cable.. Had I done a little more research on this I would never have blown 2k on this POS nav head unit.. or sync for that matter..
Thanks for the Info. It turns out it was the software on the Casio Brigade phone from Verizon. Verizon switched me to a different Casio phone and it works fine. The Brigade wont work.
I have the BlackBerry 9800 (Torch) and it works very well with my '11 F250's Nav unit. The BT actually works better while making a call than my Plantronics Discovery. I can BT music to the head unit from the phone with no issues. The address book sync'd perfectly.
I have not tried connecting the phone and USB. I did try to play video files via BT while parked with no success. The Torch will not allow the Nav unit to play back my text messages. So far and to my knowledge, that is the only feature that the Torch limits the Nav unit.
