Good dentside paint jobs
Great looking trucks gus. Wish mine are in that condition.
As for paint, I personally like the blue that my '78 is, not sure what the paint color code is. Its all oxidized and doesn't shine anymore, but still looks good. Its a baby blue

If you are going to be doing a 2 tone, then I would suggest if follows the trim. So if you have a truck with trim (i.e a ranger lariat), then the 2 tone should be a main color, then a insert color, like this.

I am a big fan of the 50's style cream color, so when I paint my 79 (The one pictured), I will most likely be using a cream w/red inserts. Other combos that I think would look good is black w/cream, cream w/blue, cherry red w/blue, white w/sliver, or just solid white
Thats just my 2 cents

You have some nice trucks yourself. i like some of the original color scemes myself . My dads truck was a factory ranger and came with the race track chrome It was 2 tone green with the darker of the greens inside the race track chrome and the tailgate chrome. It also had the chrome mouldings that went around the back of the cab. so the roof was the darker green also.
I like the red one myself. believe it or not. The red truck was put together with spare parts from all our prevous builds. When we bought that truck we actualy bought it for the moter. It had a D0VE 460 in it. I picked the truck up for $1000. The only thing fixable was the cab witch needed cab corners and hood and grill shell that we painted silver every thing else was either rebuilt or replaced. I had to patch the frame back by the gas tank In short it was rough
My 76 in my avatar(?) came with "textured" black paint on the roof, it almost looked like vinyl. I didnt go back with it, went with a gloss black. As an aside, mine is a "tu tone" but not the deluxe I suppose. The roof being one color while the body a different.
Wow Gus. Your Dad's truck is a spinning image of what I wanted to do with my 78 Ranger Lariat. That's the exact look that I'm going for, but with a bit of a darker green colour (more along rainforest green).
If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions about your dad's truck, I'd like to get some info about it, cause I think it's simply fantastic.
What size of tires is the truck running?
Is the truck lifted at all? To me it looks stock with some 33-35's on it, but I wouldn't mind knowing for sure.
Is the paint factory 78 green, or a custom colour. With the lighting, it looks like it's a bit darker than the original paint.
Thanks in advance. All of your trucks look awesome to me, but your dad's 78 is the best IMHO.

He is running 33x12.50-16.5 bfg all terrains. The truck has a set of highboy springs that are arched to stock spec on the front. The rear has a set of 1 ton springs arched up 2" above stock. We removed the stock 3" lift block and put a 5" lift block in its place. Plus a set of rear air bags for overtop of the springs and a set of L&L lader bars. The green is a Lexus color it's called Lexas ivy green.
Thank you always good to hear.

That colour is amazing. My uncle has owned many lexus', but none with that green colour. I think I might have to nudge him in that direction, if he ever gets around to buying another one
.Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can't dig up some info on that suspension stuff.

As you wish,

I dont have many more pics right now, but do have big plans for the interior, and engine bay, just to bring it up to match the outside of my truck.
As it sits now,
