I think Paul answered that question in Post #3. If the gear ratio remains the same, then no you do not need to replace the ring and pinion in the front. Unless of course the front has some other issue as well.
you can get them from broncograveyard.com as well, or try to find a set on ebay for cheaper, found sets of yukons for cheap money a wile back, but didnt pull the trigger...
If you change the RATIO, you should match front and rear, i.e: you had 3.55 (that would be on both axles), if you change the rear to a 4.10 ratio, the front should be matched to that 4.10 ratio also.
