Post your BUMPER pics!!

Hi, trying to get some ideas for a front and rear bumper on my '56 panel truck. I have the originals, (freshly chromed), but I'm looking for a different look. I want go with a bumper to accent the satin black sinister look I have planned. I'm thinking like an old type wrecker bumper in the front like I've seen in some pics. I would like to see some pics of bumpers you guys have used...can be custom or off other vehicles like jeeps, etc...Thanks for you time,
James

The one on my 48 F-3 pretty much stock...

I don't know what the one on my 49 F-1 came off of but I'm replacing it!

I run no bumper on the front

I narrowed the rear bumper and built a recess for the license plate. The plate and frame toggle up to access the trailer hitch.

By far the best looking bumper to modify and install on a f100!

I'm not sure if this look is industrial as much as it is work-truck but this is the bumper on my '49.

Not sure, the picture is pretty small. Looks like a conglomeration of a few models...given the location of the grille "fangs" and the angle of the bumper I'd have to say that this treatment could use some refinement, IMHO.

Well if I were to put a bumper back on mine. I would go with something like that, I wouldn't have to worry about the grille fangs since mines a 55...

Here's what I started out with;

I can't find a pic of what I'm running now, but its a common chrome step bumper that I picked up at the wrecking yard. I think it came of a small truck, Ranger, S-10, etc. I don't know I found it laying on the ground and only had to give $20 for it.
