I was wondering how the 6.7 is around town and with idling and such. I know the 6.4 doesn't often do well with these types of driving habits, like egr issues and regen every day because it never finishes one.
I live in a metro area. I have had my truck for 6 months and 18000 miles. It has been driven every day except two. Does that make it a daily driver? I use the truck for all purposes. If I need to take Deb 3 miles round trip to work or drive 180 miles round trip to see my granddaughter, I take the truck. No drive-ability problems whatsoever. it does get driven enough to get to full operating temperature regularly though. If you look around this forum, you will find many guys who had the 6.4 and traded up.
I drive 6 miles to work (each way) every day. The only issue is that sometimes, the truck tries to go into regen the minute I'm pulling into my driveway. I drive it more than that usually and it gives the engine a chance to go into regen. The regen is hardly noticeable as compared to the 6.4. In the last 4000 miles, the 6.7 has told me to "drive to clean" the filter only once. I guess it got tired of me not stretching its legs!
