GCWR - How do we tell
GCWR - How do we tell
This keeps comming up.
GCWR (max for truck, trailer)
There are so many different type of units + Job 1, Job 2, gears, etc
How do we tell what the GCWR is, of our unit?
Manual says "check with the dealer"
This link isn't much help...
http://www.ford.com/trucks/superduty...ations/towing/
For example (but don't focus on my unit, I looking for a universal statement)
F350 - DRW Job 2 13,000 GVW

I do not know where to find better information but...the 2011 F350 SRW CC SB 4X4 6.7 truck has a GVW of 11500 pounds and a GCVWR of 23500 pounds. It got messy with the dually's when they raised the tow ratings back in August
I agree,
They raised the GVW, changed gear requirments, etc.
The VIN decoder from Ford didn't help either.
All I've got to go on, is the GVW sticker on the door panel, an the Job 2 Specs, and, back into the number I think it should be...

But, other, with "marginal" unit
that need the real numbers
