please help
i have a 2008 F350. i had the edge CTS chip in it. i took the chip out to update it. it told me that i needed to rest the truck to stock. i reinstall the chip and set back to stock. hook chip back up to update and it still says its not stock and the truck and actavated the anti-theft light on the dash and i will not let me start to truck. please help.

I spent a little time tuning my last car (Subaru). I know it's apples to oranges, but try reseting the trucks computer by disconnecting the battery and stepping on the brake pedal to discharge the system. This SHOULD bring you back to the stock baseline.

The only thing I got left is check your owners manual for a way to reset your security system, like putting the key in the ignition and turning it 3 times for example. Just a couple shots in the dark for you, maybe someone that knows something will chime in. Good luck.

Yeah.... These 6.4's don't quite respond the same as a lot of other vehicles.
When you hook up the edge now, it's still saying your truck is not set to stock?
May give a little more details. Step by step if you can.

i took the chip out this morning to update it. hooked it up to my computer. the software told me that i need to set the truck back to stock. took the chip back out and reconnected it. switched it to stock. brought the chip back to the computer and it still said it was not set to stock. took the chip back out and hooked it back up. wait for it to load and it said i needed to turn the key to the on and not start it. did that then said to turn it off. did that then turn the key back on. when i did the last step it was telling that there is comm error and i need to unplug the chip from the truck. i did this and the anti theft light started flashing. the chip went threw the steps again and the anti theft like just keep flashing.
i tried to disconnect the battery and reset every thing but that did not work. i have checked all the fuses and they all looked fine.

I am afraid you have corrupted the pcm. I would think you need a new one. Don't quote me on that.
I seem to recall some others that have run into this and that was the only way to solve the problem. May or may not apply.
I would get the chip people on the phone and have them walk you thru the steps and trouble shoot it.
