I recently bought a 95 Eddie Bauer F150 2wd and have been quite pleased with this fine machine except I'm getting a vibration in the seat of my pants when I reach 50 and up to about 65kph. Tires are new and balanced. u-joints 6 months old, etc. Heard rumors of two piece drive shaft not installed properly? Any info on this prob would sure be a great help. Vibin in Alberta!

I've got a 94 XLT LWB and I have the exact same problem. The right rear tire (el cheapo Goodyear Wingfoots) was octagonal, so I had it trued, but very little improvement. It's hard to find a tire shop that'll shave tires anymore.
I'll keep an eye on this thread, maybe someone can shed a little light on the probable causes.

I had a similar problem with my 94. I had Ford do a road force balance on my tires and they had to dismount two of the tires and rotate them 180 degrees then rebalance them. Worked like a champ. You may want to check the drive shaft and look for any clean spots where a weight may have been. However, if you can drive in to and out of the vibration, then I would suggest taking another look at the tires.
