Ford 360 or 390 Engine
I plan to build a 410 from either a 360 or 390. I know I will need a 428 crankshaft kit, but I would like to know what else. What pistons to buy? What aluminum cylinder heads? I want the right combinations. I am also sure the balance will be different on my flexplate (C6 trans) and harmonic balancer. I have heard these motors are externally balanced. I am on a limited budget, but of course I want the most hp for my buck on pump gas. Thanks in advance for any help...

Yep.
Posting in the Engine section under the sub section FE FT will get you lots of responses.
Also posting under the truck section sub section 67-72 will also get you some responses. But not as many as under the motor section.
Also be for warned that the FE motor is not typically a cheap motor to rebuild. Some parts are also getting more scarce as the last one made was in '76 (I think)
