losing coolant
I've got a '98 expedition (wifes ride) & it is slowly losing coolant.
I don't see any obvious leaks, but it does have a miss that is
very prominant. I'm wondering if it could be head gaskets although
there is no coolant smell at exhaust. Motor is a 4.6 with 165,000m
oil level is fine also

Yes it could be a blown head gasket. You would need a compression or a leak down test done to know for sure.
