There is still something wrong with your ignition system. One thing that is left is the pickup sensor inside the distributor.

Your regulator's job is to control the alternator which charges the battery. Nothing to do really with firing the sparkplugs.

Have you checked the spark plugs again

My son took my 1980 F-150 to work. I noticed earlier when I drove it losing power. I thought it was not warmed up enough. When my son took it to work ran fine until the mourning. Turned over but would not start. His boss thought it was a coil. It turned out to be the carb was loose and when he continued pumping gas pedal he fouled the plugs. It has a 300cid Staight 6. He changed plugs , oil , and tightened carb and is running now.

Yep, the thing that goes round and round when the engine is cranking is what goes by the sensor, and the sensor tells the module you had checked at the store to fire the coil.

The sensor inside the dist tells the module to fire the coil. The module fires the coil by grounding and ungrounding the negative of the coil, while there is a constant + voltage on the positive of the coil.

You did the testlight test and the testlight did not blink on the negative wire of the coil with the engine turning. That means the module is not turning the coil on and off(grounding and ungrounding it). If the coil is not turned on and off constantly, then you will get no spark.
