There are adapters out there that would allow you to put a 2bbl carb on the stock intake, but most who have done this report it's a waste of time. The stock intake won't flow any more air than the 1bbl carb will. So, I advise against trying it, as it usually ends in disappointment.
the carb I have on there is crap and wanted to try a 2bbl, I've been looking into getting a Holley 1bbl rebuilt, and Holley 2bbl rebuilt, I'm also looking into Carter Carbs, and maybe Edelbrock, any suggestions for a carb?

I'd suggest you rebuild the one you have and put it on. The 2 bbl. is going to disappoint you.
If you buy a reman 1 bbl, buy the one that is listed for your truck, and keep your old one until you know the new one works right. that way, if you have trouble with the reman (happens) you still have something to run the truck while they fix/replace the reman.
