i too am having questions about lifting the front. I have an 89 F250 that I was trying to lift 2-3 inches. I decided on a body lift for ease and to prevent alignment problems (TTB) later on. I ordered the body lift and removed the canopy from the bed and now i noticed it sits higher in the back w/o the added weight. I am interested in lifting the front suspension now about 1- 1.5 inches at the most. I have considered the add-a-leaf but am also worried about ride. I have considered taking another leaf or two and cutting it real short (6-8") just enough to fasten in the perch and bolts. this would give me a little lift, the thickness of the springs plus the safety of having them bolted into the actual spring pack, same basic ride, cheap, and hopefully not affect the alignment. Anybody tried this with satisfactory results?
I have an extra leaf on the front of my 92 F250 and it made it ride a lot worse. If you want a good ride dont add a whole leaf. I have seen people get their front springs re-arched, but it usually only lasts about 2 years. Your short leaf idea might be the best way.

I agree with the stiff ride.... I was looking at that first, but have read many posts that say the ride is way to stiff. This truck rides like a tank already.... it could be much stiffer.
