Crank sensor/Fuel pump
I had an episode this morning that maybe you can back up my local Ford dealer on. I started my truck in my driveway to let it warm up for about 10 minutes(15 degrees) It idled fine but then I got about 4 miles from my house and the fuel filter light came on. I got about another mile and the truck just shut done and that was all she wrote. I got it towed in to my local Ford dealer and first they said that it threw a code for a faulty crank/ing sensor. After they replaced that and cleared the code they found that the fuel pump had gone out on it. My question to all of you gurus is what is the possibility of this and/or is it possible? Also, what is the cranking sensor and what exactly does it do? I'm just wondering because the total cost of the repairs including towing is going to be $790.00.
Thanks guys. I hang out and read nightly and am highly impressed with all of your knowledge. Keep up the great worK!!!!!!!
