I took my new DRW out on a long drive today (300 miles) to start the break in process.
On the way home at the end, I did some freeway miles on I80 from Sacramento (driven this many times, in many cars / trucks).
I must say this ride is much harsher than my 2000 SRW 8' 4x4..
(this road has many rough spots, flat smooth wasn't the issue)
I have yet to look at tire pressure, that is next, for sure.... But, whatever they prep it at is the setting.
I have been on that road! The "80" in I80 represents the MINIMAL speed you can drive!
How is everything else going with her/him/it? After the first night, I haven't driven mine! I was scheduled to go into a detail shop today to get rid of the orange peeling but it snowed and I have rescheduled. I have never seen this much orange peeling on a vehicle!
After the orange has been peeled my next stop is the film protection. The good news is I am spending a lot of time behind the wheel learning all of the functions of the truck. I think they could sell a class on just the Nav!

Comming from a 2000 F-350 SRW CC (manual)
MUCH more power
Smooth shifting (although it goes from 1 to 2 at a very low speed)
Once is 2nd I can add on the power. In 1st, I kind of go slow to prevent being stuck to the back of the seat.
I have every option, repeat every, except Moon roof & Rear DVD....
I even have the master lock cable in the back to lock my tools (or in my case, my generator)
Sounds like we're going to have many "chats" in the future.

1st gear is lower then what would normally be expected in this trans.
Don't know what I'll use it for but I got the Master lock too.
I have a 350 srw, when I first got the truck it was great on smooth roads. But a bad place in the road would jar you good. Comeing from a 250 i thougth this how a 350 is. But lowering the rear psi to 70, which did not noticeabley efect the tires with a 11k 5ver hooked to it. That and time, of the truck breaking in I guest, it now rides alot better. Even on bad roads. Give it time and as mention check tire psi.
The feel in the steering wheel feels more like your driving a car and is effortless (no vibrations at all!), but I agree the overall ride is harsher then my 2004 Dually - but maybe with some miles on it the rear springs will soften up.
sounds like yall aint rode in a cab and chassis yet if yall think yalls duallys are bad just take a cab and chassis for a spin and you will love the way yours ride
