Prepped for winter...
Got the old girl ready for winter weather this morning.. swapped out the Rotella straight-grade 10-w40 for T6 Synthetic, took my batteries loose and cleaned cables, connections and posts and coated with terminal grease and topped off anti-freeze and differentials. She'd been getting slow at cranking at 25 and below, so hoping the combination of the synthetic and the connections (had quite a bit of corrosion on them) will solve that issue. I usually plug it in here at home, but when I'm at my "real" job, I have no place to do that. You'd think a place making 2300 MW's of electricity would have a few cords strung around for the diesels.. hahaha... Several of us that work there have farms and probably 70% of us that fit that bill drive a diesel truck. Hoping to set something up by next year, even if we offer to pay a fee or something, say $50 a winter or something... I'd gladly pay it!
