where to buy computer?
I have an 06 f350 with the 5.4L gas.It's looking like i might need a computer,does anyone know where i can get one cheaper than the dealer?The dealer wants $500-$700 Thanks

ok,here goes.The truck is currently in the transmission shop.The trans was completely rebuilt,re installed,and then the problem was found that probably caused the trans to need rebuilding in the first place.There's a sensor on the side of the trans that somehow controls the pressure inside the trans.if it doesnt work properly ,When you put the truck in reverse it slams in really hard.Thats what it's doing right now.The sensor has been tested and is ok.So its either a wire between the computer and the trans,or its the computer.I'm just trying to stay a step ahead,so if i do need the computer I know where to get it.sorry if i've confused you,my knowledge in this area is very limited.
