Fire Rings

Anybody modified their heads to add fire rings? Is the mod worht the money in added safety from too much boost which blows the head gasket?

In all seriousness there are some NASTY high HP 6.0's (800) that aren't running fire rings, but no telling how long they'll last.

I had my heads ringed before for a Blown big block... And I can say it didn't seem to make a difference.. A couple of runs down the track and the gasket would always seem to let go... I found a good set of arp fasteners were the best bang for the money...At least in my experience

Stock engine with Innovative Diesel tunes and MBRP cool duals.

I am going to rebuild my engine soon and I wanted to know if fire rings were good for a bullet proof head gasket seal with ARP studs.

I hope to push 450 - 500hp

What kind of modifications do you plan on doing for the 450-500hp?
