What are the oiling mods that you can do to a FE block I have herd of these for a long time but have herd nothing about how it is done. How do you do it? thank you.
Scroll down and look at the FE machine shop post..there is a link in there that will bring you to some pictures and descriptions for the oiling mods .also try doing a search here on FTE you should come up with a lot of hits.
To give you a sum up instead of trying to read that dirty magazine...
The main gallery from the oil pump to filter pad should be enlarged to 7/16". This needs to be carefully drilled from both ways as it is not a straight shot through. The main bearing saddles will need the oil galleries chamfered over to match the holes in the main bearings. Use a melling M57HV oil pump and ARP driveshaft. You will have to restrict the oil to the rockers by installing .090 holley jets under the rocker stand that has the oil gallery leading to it. If you run the edel heads this is already restricted but I am thinking of restricting mine a little more as I think the oil flow under the valve covers is still a little excessive.
