I was going to suggest plastic over metal because of oxidation factors, but the flipside was that plastic, if not the right kind, might crack or not withstand the heat.

They are heater hose fittings, so should be designed for the heat, chemicals...we hope!

Well thankfully you had the good sense to use the correct type of plastic fittings. Many would've gone to a hardware store or Home Depot and got those plastic underground sprinkler fitting.

I replaced the front heater core, have TONS of heat now, but no cold. Here in L.A. that is a must, even in "winter."...what do you think, blender door motor? Take it all apart again? How can I check it's working before reassembling it all again? I noticed when I reassembled it, the door would only go back in in the all the way open position. Don't think that matters, it's just where the motor or relay stopped.

Thanks for any help.
