I got challenged....to a pull.

Well a buddy of mine who has a 99 7.3 PSD said he will pull me around a parking lot like nothings behind him.

Of course I couldn't turn down a good pull off.

Both trucks are totally stock 100%

Anyone think I have a chance?

Traction is everything. Use the lowest possible gear and add some weight in your bed and you will do just fine. Unless, of course, your friend does the same thing.

The more weight the better and low range 4x4 is the only way to go. All things being equal, you win on paper.

p.s.- I wouldn't do it.

I've seen a lot of stuff break in tug-o-wars

Stand on the brakes until his wheels spin, then drive away.

I will that's only if we pull.

Wouldn't try to hard. Not going to try and break anything. Lol

I've seen Chevys on dry pavement and they bent tie rods and driveshafts fell out

Just don't hammer it and spin the tires, and you'll have him dead to rights!

Just don't do what my son did.... Here is his story.

He is 16, we just had his transmission replaced in his 95. Neighborhood friend has a 99 F250. They decide to go hook up and see what happens. So, knowing I wouldn't approve, they waited til I left with the wife. We get a call about an hour later saying he wrecked his truck. Wasn't happy at all.... It was dark out, they hooked up, the 95 pulled the 99. My son put his truck in neutral and got out to disconnect and the 99 took off. Needless to say, both beds were trashed as the kid in the 99 didn't realize noone was in the other truck and just stopped. Thinking he won, but his only trophy was a mangled up bed and an hour to figure out some sort of lie to tell his parents... Didn't let either one out of that one. Had his mom come over to check out how stupid our kids were. That was 3 years ago. Sooooooo if you decide to pull, make sure you both know when to stop and when to go...

The truck is also light in the bed, unless he had it loaded, seems fair to me!

May be light in the bed but not over the front wheels! also has less wheels on the ground so gets more traction!
