I've had mine since June 3rd and just as excited today as the day I picked her up! Been fun reading your posts working up to this day - excited for you also.
I have an idea about the antenna problem. Whether you have a tilt up garage door or a paneled roll-up you might try this. Fasten a thin 1/8 inch thick piece of luan plywood (perhaps some other thin material with a slick surface) to the areas of the door where the antenna comes in contact with it. Make the width of the plywood as wide as needed. Bottom line, your antenna will glide over the plywood in one much smoother motion. Hope this helps.

Great idea! I never expected the antennae to be the problem area, but it sure is! It sits about 2 inches higher than the roof lights... go figure!
BTW -- how long is this jaw pain supposed to last? I went into the garage and smelled that sweet smell of "new" and my face immediately went to "grin" mode...
I do feel sorry for the sales guy. Apparently there was a $400 price increase and he is going to be blamed for not informing me that I would be required to pay it. In all honesty, the owner okayed the deal from the start and he too never mentioned it to me.
I think my dealer was too busy trying to rip me off for $1050 that he missed the $320 price increase.
Congrats Bubba - it sounds like our two trucks were traincar buddies. Dealer just called me to say mine had be been delivered from Twin Oaks this morning (built on 12/2). Its an early Christmas with a new truck and a snowstorm.
How do I do it? I created a photobucket account and downloaded a picture. How do I upload it here?
From within PhotoBucket, you click anywhere in the Direct Link box. That will copy the link into your clipboard. Note the PB link clip here:
Then go to FTE and make a new post. You have to use the Quote or Post Reply option in the thread to be able to link to photos. The Quick Reply does not work for linking photos. Press the little Insert Image icon as below:
After you press this icon, you'll get a screen that says to enter the link in the box. I like keyboard short-cuts so as soon as the Please Enter the URL dialog box comes up, I just press CTRL-V. You can also right-click in the box and select Paste. If you have done it correctly, you will immediately see the photo appear in your post.
Then finally press Submit Reply and it's permanent. I like to use Photobucket because once I upload something there, I will never delete it. That way the link is good for years and years to come. Photobucket is just full of miscellaneous junk and mostly quick screen caps like those above.
My truck does not get to sleep in the garage, but, I can tell you this: I just took the antenna off because I never listen to regular or HD radio. I'm always on Sirius or Jukebox or my iPod. Mostly because I am always driving long distances and I live in nowhere where there is good FM or AM to listen to.
It's an option if you find yourself not using the radio.......
And the fuel tank. That kills me when you pay $55,000, and dont get a free tank of fuel.
When I got my Excursion (44 gallon tank) the gauge read about a 1/4 tank. I told the salesman that I want a full tank or no deal. After a little hassle with sales manager a full tank was provided.
Is that your new fiver Epic ?? lets see some pic's if it is
Nice catch. I picked it up on Tuesday and drove it around a little to get the feel of it. Like Ricatic said, it is different than a bumper pull. Cuts corners so I have to pay attention in tight intersections. Being a 38 foot trailer is a pretty big change from my previous 25 foot bumper pull. I did post some pics in this thread:
