Just ordered a set of Cooper Zeon LTZ's 275 60 20 for my truck and next up is new shocks. Now I'd like to lift the front end some but still maintian a decent rake and not have the nose in the air look. I was thinking either going with adjustable Bilsteins since I'm replacing shocks anyway...or get the monroe sensatracs (cheaper) and either AS 1.5 leveling kit or Daystar 1". Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Ride quality is my main concern...I use my truck mostly in the winter and rainy days...no offroading...unless I stumble upon it
Joe a few guys here are running the 5100's with the 2.25" setting and are really happy with the ride. It's just about perfectly level, if not a touch low in the front.
I personally am curious as well, but I'm debating the 2" ReadyLift or the 5100's on the top setting.
Can't wait to see your Zeon LTZs mounted up, as that is my ideal size and tire when I go to replace the crap that is currently on my truck.
I can't wait either! Ha ha, they're scheduled to be delivered tomorrow so my plan is to drop them off Friday to get mounted. Snow is in the forecast for Sunday here in CT so I'm excited to get them on. The Pirelli STR's on there now are pretty much slicks!
I was thinking the Bilsteins too and just get it all done in one shot. They're pretty expensive though...curious about the ride quality compared to something like Sensatracs before I do it.
Man I sure hope so, for almost 500 for the set they're pricey! I'm thinking about doing the fronts first and then the rears a little later so the wife doesn't get excited..
Thank you! Now I just have to figure something out with shocks and a leveling kit.I don't want the nose in the air look so I might get a 1.5 AS kit or Bilsteins.
i'm running the 5100 Bilsteins and i love them. I can corner like im on a rail. There is not alot of "bounce" to them but overall a sturdy durable shock. Some of the sturdyness "Firm" feeling might also be the D rated BFGs that im runnning....the install is easy to do also
