2 questions
I have a 2002 f-350 7.3 My left headlight bulb (low beam) went out. I plan on replacing them both this weekend. So what do you guys replace with along with keeping it simple plug in and go. Will the silverstar work or slowly burn out the wires etc. I dont want to replace them with bulbs that draw to much.. NEXT QUESTION.. I used my 4 WD low yesterday. I unlocked the hubs (manual warns, vacuum disconnected) turned off the switch as I drove slowly, I felt everything unlock fine, however the standard 4X4 light (high) stays on and wont go off. I tried putting truck in neutral and foot on the brake and switching, but it still stays on. I have read there is a switch on the transfer case that i can replace, or clean. Where it is located, I do have contact cleaner if there is a relay as well that my be sticking. Thanks for all the help here... Jeff

Before you go as far as to replace the switch, you might try shutting off the truck in neutral, and then turning the 4x4 switch to 2hi. (With the ignition 'on', engine off) Sometimes stopping the drivetrain from rotating while shifting in and out of 4x4 is helpful. May not cure your problem, but worth a shot. I've had to do that several times when shifting out of 4 low. Havent had to do it when shifting out of 4 hi, but if your t-case shifting solenoid is weak, this might help. I would also inspect the electrical connections at the t-case solenoid, and possibly even the '4x4' switch that controls the light on the dash, there's a possibility its sticking, and keeping the light on when you are actually in 2wd.
